Kabataan Take the Lead

Kabataan Take the Lead is a flagship community engagement program of Asenso Kabataan that empowers young people to become active leaders while strengthening every sector of the community through meaningful service and sustainable organization-building.

The program follows a sectoral approach, bringing Asenso Kabataan volunteers directly to neighborhoods and community sectors. Each activity begins with fun and interactive games, featuring three games for children and a special fourth game dedicated to the parents, guardians, and senior residents of the area. Alongside these activities, participants receive simple gifts and tokens of appreciation that promote unity, participation, and community spirit.

Beyond the games and gift-giving, the heart of Kabataan Take the Lead lies in building lasting relationships. The team engages with residents to identify community needs, encourage volunteerism, and establish new sector-based organizations. For areas with existing organizations, Asenso Kabataan provides guidance, mentorship, and continuous support to help strengthen leadership, increase membership, and ensure that these organizations remain active and impactful.

The program operates on a continuous cycle of engagement, organization, empowerment, and sustainability. As organizations grow stronger, they become capable of serving their own communities, developing new leaders, and inspiring more residents to participate.
